  • Complete with stylish design, FinePix F770EXR features include a newly improved ½”
16-megapixel EXR-CMOS sensor, enhanced GPS functionality, Fujinon 20x wide angle long zoom lens (25-500mm equivalent in 35mm camera), Intelligent Digital Zoom and an ultra-clear 3.0” high contrast 460K resolution LCD.

Whether you want the simplicity of point and shoot photography or a greater level of control over aperture and shutter speed, the FinePix F770EXR incorporates the features required.

    Next generation EXR CMOS Sensor

Fujifilm’s advanced EXR CMOS sensor tackles motion blur using a combination of mechanical image stabilisation, high ISO sensitivity and its new Motion Detection capability. The FinePix F770EXR can capture great detail in low light scenes without resorting to flash. EXR Auto automatically optimises settings according to scene types, offering 103 different shooting patterns.

When EXR Auto mode is selected in low light conditions, the FinePix F770EXR can automatically detect if the subject is moving. If so, the camera deploys Motion Detection and a higher ISO to ensure the subject is captured with reduced blurring. If no subject movement is identified, the EXR CMOS sensor automatically keeps the ISO lower and uses image stabilisation to reduce noise.

In manual mode, the FinePix F770EXR offers High Resolution (HR) Priority for the best possible picture quality, Wide Dynamic Range (DR) Priority for scenes with high contrast, or High Sensitivity and Low Noise (SN) Priority for great results in low light.

Sharp, clear 20x optical zoom lens

The FinePix F770EXR houses the new Fujinon 20x super wide angle optical zoom lens that produces crisp, high resolution results throughout the focal range, from 25mm wide angle to 500m telephoto. Super Macro Mode allows sharp focusing down to 5cm delivering the most brilliant detail possible.

The FinePix F770EXR also features Intelligent Digital Zoom which effectively doubles the zoom capacity - with 20x optical zoom, Intelligent Digital Zoom delivers 40x total zoom. Image quality remains the same even when the lens is zoomed out to the maximum focal length.

    Exceptional speed

Once you turn the power on, the FinePix F770EXR is ready to shoot in just 1.5 seconds. Auto focus speeds are as fast as 0.16 seconds delivering outstanding high speed shooting capabilities, up to 8 frames per second (fps) at full resolution, up to 11fps at medium resolution and full HD movie capture at 1080p (30fps) in stereo.

    Improved GPS functionality

The FinePix F770EXR has been equipped with a new high sensitivity antenna which finds positioning quickly. The Route Log feature creates an illustrated map showing where you’ve travelled and Photo Navigation displays the distance to and distance from a previous location. You can record and edit your favourite places in the camera with the new My Landmark function while the Landmark Navigator feature indicates nearby landmarks and the distance the user is away from them. When you hold the camera in the normal picture taking position, you’ll see the name of the nearest landmarks and the distance to it. When you point the lens to the ground, the LCD converts to a radar view to show locations relative to where the user is standing.

    Powerful features for maximum versatility

The FinePix F770EXR offers the option of a RAW file format for unaltered files and has continuous shooting at up to 11fps (image size M only) for action shots. The ISO mode can be selected automatically and offers a range of 100 up to 3200 - it can also stretch to an incredible 12800 (image size S only). A full complement of exposure modes is available including aperture-priority, shutter priority and manual for creative shooting.

    HD movie capture

The FinePix F770EXR also offers 1080p Full HD movie recording at 30fps with stereo sound which is ideal for playing back on an HD ready TV. High speed movies can be recorded at up to 320fps and all movie modes now come with face tracking AF, ensuring faces stay sharp and correctly exposed even when the subject is moving. Even if a focus locked subject moves within the frame, the camera will keep the focus on part of the subjects face for continuous on-focus tracking. With a mini-HDMI output connector, it is easy to connect and view images on your HD TV (HDMI cable not included).

    Intelligent Image Stabilisation

With a highly sensitive gyro sensor, the Intelligent Image Stabilisation system provides improved image quality with reduced blurring and noise in still pictures and also when shooting movies at the full optical zoom or in very low light. The new mechanically stabilised sensor is able to overcome handshake and can compensate for a range of hand movements, so increasing ISO to freeze action is no longer necessary - sharp low-light pictures can be achieved at ISO400, rather than ISO800 or 1600 at night scenery. Blur is reduced to an absolute minimum in the FinePix F770EXR by deploying high ISO sensitivity to automatically increase shutter speeds and CMOS shift type to counteract the problems of handshake and subject movement.

    3.0” clear LCD

The high contrast 3.0” LCD (460K) on the FinePix F770EXR incorporates Monitor Sunlight mode which is beneficial in bright light as the camera can be directed at a range of shooting angles to enable framing of almost any shot.

    Multi-Frame Technology

Using Fujifilm’s Multi-Frame Technology, a burst of two or three frames is captured and by taking the distance information off, the main subject is crisply matted against a defocused foreground and background. Meanwhile, Pro Low-Light Mode can be applied to help solve the problems of noisy low light shots. Once switched to Pro Low-Light Mode, the FinePix F770EXR will take a burst of four high sensitivity images using Pixel Fusion technology in quick succession. By using the camera’s Multi-Frame Technology, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th images are overlapped to create one image with extremely low noise.

    Motion Panorama

An enhanced Motion Panorama mode allows users to capture beautiful, seamless 360° panoramic images both horizontally and vertically that show fine detail, low noise and high resolution at 180°, 240°, or full 360° panoramic ranges.

Other features include Super Intelligent Flash; Tracking Auto Focus (AF), Shoot in RAW,Face Recognition and Face Detection with AutomaticRed-eye Removal.

FUJIFILM Senior Category Manager – Imaging, Daniel Paul, said the FinePix F770EXR offers superb image quality and an exceptional range of features that accommodates point and shoot photography, as well photography where manual control is desired.

The Fujifilm FinePix F770EXR has a recommended retail price of $449.

  • FUJIFILM Australia Business Advisor for the company’s Fujivision and CloudNET services James Saldanha explained, “Harvey Norman are one of the country’s biggest advertisers across TV, print and online. They recognised digital signage as an important part of communicating with their customers and wanted to install a networked solution that would maximise their in-store experience.”

After a comprehensive assessment and evaluation process Harvey Norman chose Fujivision’s most advanced media player, which runs up to 6 HD channels simultaneously, to form the cornerstone of their digital signage system.

Saldanha continued, “A channel in the digital signage environment is effectively like a TV station that runs its own content. Fujivision digital signage gives Harvey Norman scalability and lower hardware costs, with different channels allowing the retailer to run department-specific content to LCD monitors around the store.”

Fujivision content is hosted on Fujifilm servers. As part of the Fujivision solution the company creates specific ads and promotions for Harvey Norman to help enhance brand and product recognition. The Fujivision system also has an efficient online proofing module that allows the retailer to review content and make changes by recording text, voice or video frame-by-frame, saving time and minimising potential errors when publishing to the network.

Ben McIntosh, General Manager Harvey Norman Computers said, “We judged the Fujivision digital signage solution as the one that best met our many in-store requirements. By using the Fujivision system we now have the potential for generating additional revenue through sales lifts and the ability to create effective co-branding opportunities with suppliers. As Fujivision is networked we are able to have our customised playlists managed on a national, state, metropolitan, store and even screen level, allowing very targeted messaging throughout the day. There is also a ‘dayparting’ feature that allows any chosen content to be run at specific times. All in all it is a very clever, intuitive and effective digital signage solution. We were also very impressed that Fujifilm provide a complete turnkey solution and could offer us everything from hardware to content management and support. With Fujivision’s proven track record and our long standing relationship with Fujifilm, we are very confident in their consistently high levels of service and support – something that is vital in the world of successful retailing.”
